Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why would I want to take a guided tour instead of riding on my own?

A guided tour allows you many conveniences! First, you have an exciting route planned which will maximize your enjoyment, ensuring that you make great use of your precious vacation adventure time. Second, the majority of the details are taken care of and you get to just enjoy the ride! Finally, it gives you a chance to meet some people with whom you have something in common...your love of motorcycles.

How many bikes are allowed on the tours?

There is a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8. Get your friends and plan to come together!

How much riding experience do I need?

These are not rides appropriate for beginner riders. We suggest that you have at least 5,000 miles on a bike of 600cc or more. Additionally you will need to be at least 25 years old and have a valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement

Do you have a Chase Vehicle/Trailer setup for your tours?

Yes, we will provide a chase vehicle with room for a couple of passengers and everyone's luggage. We will also have a trailer in case of mechanical issues.

What is included and what do I need to pay for?

Included: Six nights lodging, motorcycle rental and associated fees, introductory happy hour and hors d'oeuvres, and two dinners.
Not Included: Airfare/transportation to/from Portland, Oregon, gas, meals (except as mentioned above), alcoholic beverages and other items of a personal nature.

I'd prefer to ride my own motorcycle on tour, do I need to rent a bike to tour with you?

You can certainly provide your own motorcycle. If you need it shipped to Portland give us a call for recommended shippers.

I'd like to do a full tour, but I can't fit it all into my schedule. Any options?

We would be happy to create a self-guided tour for you to explore Oregon or Washington on your own schedule. If you give us general preferences, we will craft an exciting adventure for you. Contact us for more information.

Are custom tours available?

Absolutely! Check out our custom tours page for more info. Also if your group books an exclusive tour, we will be able to accommodate most requests. Contact us to discuss.

What if I have my own group?

Your entire group is welcome to book a tour with us. We will even allow for a group larger than our standard maximum of 8 if you book it as a group. Also, let us know if you have any ideas on how to customize your trip for your group's maximum enjoyment and we will try to fulfill your wishes.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel a tour at any time 30 days before the first scheduled day of the tour. See our terms & conditions for more specifics.

How many miles will we be riding?

Our tours generally average 150-300 miles per day.

What if I don't want to share a room?

You will NOT be asked to share a room. Your price includes private accommodations. If your passenger requires separate accommodations there will be an additional charge.

What can I expect for accommodations?

You will experience a variety of accommodations. We have tried to arrange lodging that enhances your enjoyment of the area in which we stay. For example, on the coast, we stay near the ocean or bay. In the quaint town of Sisters, Oregon, the lodging matches the western theme of the town.

When should I arrive? When do we leave?

Plan to check in to your hotel by afternoon of the first day so that we can meet that evening and share happy hour and hors d'oeuvres to get acquainted. We will look at an overview of the tour, discuss our expectations, and answer any questions participants may have. On the final ride day we will return to Portland in the afternoon and conclude with a team dinner. You will have accommodations for that night.
